The VBG Art Prize returns for its third year, celebrating creativity inspired by food, wine, and place. With a $2,500 prize and the opportunity to exhibit at Yalumba Wine Room during SALA, this is your chance to be part of something special.
Inspired by the iconic Willi’s Wine Bar in Paris, where a new poster is commissioned annually to capture the venue's spirit, our Art Prize honours this tradition with a local twist.
At Vintners Bar & Grill, our walls are lined with posters from Willi’s — now joined by winning works from previous VBG Art Prize recipients. In 2025, a new artist will take their place among them, reflecting our region’s unique identity and creativity.
We invite you to enter if you live or work in the Barossa or Light Regional Council areas and love to create!

Competition details
Theme
We seek creative visual pieces
to express ‘food, wine, and place’ with Vintners Bar & Grill incorporated into your artwork.
artwork size / medium
A1 (including frame).
Portrait orientation.
Only poster art submissions are accepted. Photography, mosaic, sculpture, and digital-only works are not eligible.
Artwork usage Rights
The artwork will become the asset of VBG with rights to reproduce for promotional purposes, and artists will be credited at all times.

Must be living or working in the Barossa/Light Regional Council areas.

at a VIP Event to be held at
Vintners Bar & Grill (VBG)
on 23 July 2025.

and close on 18 July 2025.

The VBG Art Prize celebrates creativity across our community. On display are the vibrant, dynamic poster artworks of 2024 winner Marnie Wark, a long-standing local artist, and 2023 winner Abi Mader, a young Barossa creative with a love of art and photography. We invite you to stop by and view these inspiring pieces—or better yet, book in for lunch and enjoy a delicious meal while soaking up the art and stunning vineyard views.
