
The VBG art prize returns for 2026

Now in its fourth year, the VBG Art Prize continues to grow as a recognised creative platform within the Barossa, celebrating bold, original poster art as part of the SALA Festival. Inspired by the iconic Willi’s Wine Bar in Paris, the prize calls for work that reflects food, wine, and place.

Artwork Size & Medium
A1 (including frame). Portrait orientation. Only poster art submissions are accepted. Photography, mosaic, and sculpture works are not eligible, and all pieces must be printed. Artists must be living or working in the Barossa/Light Regional Councils.

The VBG Art Prize celebrates creativity across our community. On display are the vibrant, dynamic poster artworks of 2025 winner Emily Hay, alongside 2024 winner Marnie Wark, a long-standing local artist, and 2023 winner Abi Mader, a young Barossa creative with a love of art and photography.
